John Edwards Interview

Johnny Edwards is the man behind one of DC's most highly coveted indy videos, "Pack A Lunch" and he didn't get the "Digital" for nothing. I remember when Andy Honen first dubbed Johnny with the "Digital" nickname, something to do with the fact that the few other filmers around at the moment in the late 90's were still rocking hi-8. Everybody was trying to get their tricks on the latest format, thus when you saw Johnny pull up at Pulaski you were psyched, "Digi's here!". Johnny went on to produce a number of classic videos in addition to collabing on "Autonomous". A college degree and several generational shifts later Johnny is now living in North Carolina as a Nuclear Engineer, seemingly from digital to radioactive. With PAL 2 rumored to be in the works, its time to hear from Mr. Digitial himself. Read More!

If you have looked threw any of the past Focus Mag's I'm sure you have seen this dude's name plenty of times. He recently moved from Tenessee to DC to hold it down with the photo game and did just that. Check out this small gallery of some of his recent works. Daniel Kim Interview

Most of you know DK from Pulaski. If not, he is the asian dude that is always looking fresh whooping Zach Lyons at skate. You might also have seen him constantly fixing his laces or getting chased by C.Hall. You still don't know who I'm talking about? He was the one that was putting the chain on Darren in Get Familiar. Just Kidding! Anyways, take a few minutes and see what he has to say.

CVS Rail

Here is a very old photo that I got from Paul with the following explanation.(Click photo to enlarge) "These were sent to me from a buddy in Kinko's. I started skating in 87-88, so these photos were taken in '89. I don't even think I could ollie 2 boards yet. I don't know who the skaters are, but I'd say there ripping for '89." -Paul McElroy

According to Paul if you look closely you can see that it says P Drug instead of CVS. Supposingly, it used to be called People's Drug before CVS which is kinda..interesting. Anyways, here is a funny BAIL clip of Daniel Kim and a fs blunt from Shaun Gregoire from a not too long ago session at the CVS Rail. Posted By: Bradley Rosado

The Worrest Pt.2

Ok, here is a pretty interesting clip.. We all know The Worrest and how good he is..and maybe how rude he can be as well. Back when I attempted to attend College I had to do a documentary for my final project. I'm a filmer and love skateboarding, so of course I picked a skateboarding related topic. It was easy to I already had tons of footage. It couldn't be any easier. Anyways, this is a short documentary of the life Me and Allen had filming with Bobby for his Krooked part and other projects.

It's Been Awhile..

As the new year settles in I'm starting to realize I haven't done a video in almost 2 years. I've done tons of work for numerous videos but never my own project. I guess it's that time again to start a new one. I'll let you know what's good soon enough. Here is a very old clip that I did from an interview I had on Skate Perception. Brings back a few memories. Enjoy!

The Worrest Weekend

You look at this pic and probably wondering..what the hell did Bobby Worrest do down the LOVE gap? Well that's for us to know and for you to find out...The story of how we got there is pretty crazy though. Read on if you are interested.

So last week we tried to come here on a mission but instead we got rained out. Even though it was raining this friday we decided to go for it anyways. We left at 12pm thinking we could get there at 2am, get some sleep, and then go skate LOVE at 10am... Instead we decided to stop by a 24 Hour Walmart to get a broom, towels, etc. just incase the landing was wet. When we were at Walmart all they seemed to have was $5 towels. We bought some rags anyways but since we didn't want to buy towels we thought, maybe we can sneak into a hotel and steal towels. After getting rejected many times we decided to continue our travels. Who knows what happened but we ended up in Philly at 5am! At the same time John Mehring from Skateboarder was attempting to meet up with us. Finally when the next morning came, the missions began and everybody was present. It ended up being a perfectly warm day to do what we had to do. When we went to LOVE there were huge puddles. Luckily, we bought the right tools the night before. For the next hour we SWEPT all these puddles from the landing and then dried the rest of the water with some RAGS.

After chillin for a few hours the landing was dry and we had the green light to start skating it. Oh by the way, one of Philly's biggest fesitivals are going on at the same time. So when we get this green light to do this, all these philly head's and tourist are all over the place. Finally Bobby got to try it and OLLIED it first try. Unfortunately, this caused the crowd to cheer and attract cops. Bobby got 2 more tries at his trick and then after that we had to dip. So the recap of it all... We drove 2 hours(which really took us 5), got no sleep, bought a bunch of crap, cleaned the entire landing...all for 2 tries. Well if you thought we were bummed because of that..on the way back my car runs out of gas a block away from the gas station...The Worrest Weekend. Big shout out to Jimmy Gorecki!
