KJ_Whats the first thing that comes to mind when you watch this part again?

Paul_I wish Converse was still around. As soon as they started taking off with their skate shoes, boom, they went bankrupt and when the new owners got involved they didn't want to continue with the "so called" action sports line.

KJ_Yeah Converse was making some big moves. So who helped you make this part?

Paul_Nickels filmed most of it, Andre Stringer had a clip or 2, John Edwards filmed a few clips and this guy Shakas who worked with Mark on the Osiris video. The majority was here, I had some Philly footage, NYC and San Diego.

KJ_Did it come together pretty easily?

Paul_Making it was the easy part,ÊI was just skating and filming anything I could, a lot of the footage was already done before I was even getting a part, so there wasn't any stress until I went to San Diego to finish it out, thats when things would get hectic.

KJ_What do you mean hectic?

Paul_ I remember skating this huge hubba that kicked my ass. Chest high 8 stair hubba with 2 pushes up to it. I never landed my trick, but I wanted it bad.

KJ_Yeah, what was it like filming out there in Cali?

Paul_I was staying with my good friend from here, Greg Harris. He stayed in this crazy house. The landlord and his mom lived upstairs. These people were growing 3 weed plants on their back porch. Shit was crazy, the leaves that would die off the stem would land on the porch. I'm not gonna lie, I tried to smoke'em.

KJ_Haha, who would you skate with when you were out there?

Paul_I was skating with all types of dudes out there. Aaron Snyder, Brian Emmers, Brandon Turner, Dave Coyne, pretty much anybody that was down with Osiris at the time. Nickels was working for Osiris then so that was the crew I rolled with.

KJ_ What was the funnest part of being out there?

Paul_Most of the time Greg and I would go skate on our own and then hit the beach. That was the only time I had fun when I went to San Diego. I've been there like 6 times and every other time sucked. If you know me you already know how I feel about that part of Cali.

KJ_PMA? So what was the hardest trick to get for the part?

Paul_I'd have to say the Noseblunt was the hardest to get. I did it pretty quick that night, but it didn't happen without any typical goldrail drama. I warmed up with the other 2 tricks you see in the part in like 2 tries each and then I started goin for the noseblunt. After the first or second try the security guard came out and somehow Nickels talked him into giving us 5 more minutes. I was so psyched, I got right back to business.

KJ_How did you end up pulling it?

Paul_As soon as he came back out I stuck one and got a wheel bite. He gave me one more and boom I got it with him in the background. I thought I was on top of the world that night. I'd never done that trick on a rail before and never have since.

KJ_Yeah you have dude... Who were you riding for when this came out?

Paul_The list went as so, Pitcrew of course, Converse and True Mathematics Clothing. Expedition was talking with me and Zoo was teasing me as well, obviously none of those worked out, but I appreciated the interest.

KJ_Yeah you had the True Math gear on in there, now whats up with this bike cop twidling your hogan at Pulaski?

Paul_Ha, thanks for bringing that one up. Well, It was a lazy day down at Pulaski and I was chilling for awhile and wasn't even skating. I smoked the last of my trees I had and had left my bowl in my pocket. I decided to hook a new board up and was sitting in the shade in the dugout and had one truck on each board when Park ambushed us. This fool on a motorcycle almost went right by me and then came back and threw me in the line up with everybody else.

KJ_Who all was up there?

Paul_ There must have been 15 of us up there. AG's friend Jodie from Woodbridge had a 1/4 in his pocket and they started searching all of us. I knew the cop who was searching me at first, he was always cool to me for some reason, but he asked me if I had anything on me, so I had to give them my bowl. Then this other cop searched me all the way. I never had another man get me like that. The funny part was, and none of the youngsters will know what they are, but I was wearing these crazy Kenny Anderson shoes from Converse. They had a inner sock that it your foot, with the outer shell to go around it. So I took each one off, one by one, and all the cops came over and they were tripping on how crazy my shoes were! Had to throw them for a loop real quick. I was trying to get my boards back, they said considered it my lucky day since I got caught with paraphernalia on me. I still think it was bullshit.

KJ_Anything else you can remember about the part?

Paul_I can't believe I can remember all that, but that basically sums up that time of my life.
